Casement Windows

A casement window, also known as a casement, is a type of window that is attached to its frame through one or more hinges. These windows are hinged on the side, while those hinged on the top are called awning windows, and those on the bottom are referred to as hoppers. Replacement casement windows can be used individually or in pairs within a shared frame, and when used in pairs, they are hinged on the outside. Typically, a casement stay is used to hold these windows open.

Casement windows are the most energy-efficient, ventilating window style. If you're looking for windows that are easy to open and close, particularly in hard-to-reach areas like above cabinets or counters, casement windows are a great option. Simply use the crank to open them outward and let fresh air in. Not only do they provide great ventilation, but they also open wide, making it easy to clean the outside glass from inside your home. Plus, you can choose whether the window is hinged on the right or left. To ensure a secure and weather-tight seal, the single lever lock can be used to lock the window at multiple points.
